Sensorium for the World Ocean is the late Newton Harrison’s (1932–2022) visionary environmental art project exploring climate, ocean health, and ecological interdependence. The AlloSphere Research Group contributes immersive visualization and sonification to bring scientific data into perceptual, emotional experience.
Dr. JoAnn Kuchera-Morin presented work on Sensorium at the DASER Wonder Workshop in October 2022, honoring Newton Harrison’s legacy of exhibition evaluation for diverse communities and his vision of the life web and the world ocean.
The AlloSphere-hosted exhibition Sketches of Sensorium premiered as part of Getty PST ART 2024/2025, drawing record-breaking attendance.
